Cookie Policy

1. What we use#

AyaiMQ keeps its footprint small. We use only what the site needs to work and to stay up:

• Authentication: your signed in session is stored in your browser so you stay logged in. This is strictly necessary.
• Preferences: your light or dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser. This is strictly necessary for the interface to remember your setting.
• Security: Cloudflare, which protects ayaimq.com from attacks and abusive traffic, sets a cookie called __cf_bm on every visit. It tells genuine browsers apart from bots, lives for about thirty minutes, and identifies a browsing session rather than a person. It is strictly necessary to keep the site available, which is why it is set for every visitor rather than only signed in ones.

2. What we do not use#

We do not use advertising cookies, cross site trackers, or third party analytics that profile you across other websites.

3. Paying for AyaiMQ#

When you subscribe, you are taken to a payment page hosted by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud prevention, on Stripe's domain rather than ours, and they are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

We took that route deliberately. Embedding the card form would have put Stripe's cookies on ayaimq.com, and then this page could no longer honestly say we use nothing but what the site needs to work.

4. Why there is no cookie banner#

Because everything above is strictly necessary, and under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations strictly necessary storage does not require consent. A banner asking permission for something we are allowed to do anyway, and would have to do regardless, is a click that teaches people to dismiss banners without reading them.

If we ever add analytics or anything that profiles you, we will ask first, properly, and this section will say so instead.

5. Managing cookies#

You can clear or block browser storage through your browser settings. If you block the authentication session storage, you will not be able to stay signed in to the console.

6. Changes#

If we introduce new cookies or analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
